NOTE: This is mainly so I remember this later.

I got to thinking about incest recently after a question was posed by one of my professors in a genetics class. Also I was reading some h-manga on fakku.net but I won't go any further into that. So I forced myself to take a logical view of incest relationships and how I feel about them. Firstly I realize that incest is more commonplace in some places in the world and is looked on as taboo in most western societies.

I then thought about myself and relationships with the opposite sex in my family. I am a guy and have one sister (two years younger) who I used to fight and rough around with as a kid. I almost never got along with her until I entered my second year of high school. Suddenly we had a much nicer relationship. But I've never found my sister attractive so obviously I would never consider a relationship with her. I conform to societies norms in this way. However I sometimes wonder if I am never attracted to my sister because she is ugly or for some deeper psychological reason I can't explain. If it is the latter, am I normal and people who are attracted to their siblings have something wrong with them psychologicly? Or is it more about the society we grow up in and the environment we are raised in?

While most people are appalled by brother-sister relationships we all like to poke fun at the whole cousin incest scene. This is not as taboo but still frowned upon by most western culture. I have been told by some people that if they weren't related they would have relations with their cousins. I have 20+ cousins and about a fourth of them are female. (my father's family is huge) Unfortunately for my investigation into my own mind, I'm the oddball in this huge family. While every other cousin has someone there own age the closest to my age are two years younger and four years older. Out of all my female cousins I have only two I find mildly attractive, one 4 years older and one 5 years younger. Again though, (perhaps because of the age difference) I find myself attracted to neither of these girls. Based of evidence from others though I may deduce that while we may be attracted to cousins, the written and unwritten laws of society keep us from acting on these attractions. On a somewhat related note I'll add that difference in age and length of time spent together may affect attraction.

On an ending note, it can be proven that every person on the planet is the product of some form of incest somewhere in their family history. If you were to consider that every person in your family was unrelated by blood and counted every ancestor for the past thousand years you would come up with a number that exceeds the number of humans that have existed in those thousand years. In a way a family tree's branches split and form together many times in a person's history. Of course if you believe in the biblical or scientific Adam and Eve then every person on Earth is related and all relationships are incestuous. Of course even the evolutuionary theory shows a very small original population, meaning people would more than likely be related anyway. Food for thought...

I'm pretty sure no one will read all of that but I don't care as it's mostly to remind me of my ideas for a debate meet.

Recently I've fallen in love with the audio portal. I always overlooked that poor button up there because I always thought that all anyone ever submitted was bad techno and ripped video game songs. However, since I've got my new computer I go there when there is nothing else to do or if I want some background noise. It really is a great place with quite a few good artist. All three of you that read this post should go there more often.

I've had my Xbox 360 for awhile now and for the past year haven't played much more than Call of Duty 4/5, Halo, Assassin's Creed, GoW 2, and Fallout 3. Recently I got a ton of Microsoft points and blew then on a bunch of games and all of the dlc for Fallout 3. What I have left was just enough that I could get Castle Crashers, but I'm not sure that I want it. Feel free to post your opinions on the game or reasons I should/shouldn't buy it.

Just thought I'd tag this at the end...The new art portal is neat but I can't bring myself to read comments because of the pure idiocy of the comments. The two that bug me the most are; "HOt TIts I wish SHe wouLd FU** ME!!!!!!111 5/5 10/10" I'm all for art appreciation but maybe there's a better way to put it. The other reviews that irk me are the ones that are usually a 0 or a 5 out of ten and simply say; "It's good but it's not really Newgrounds material..." Newgrounds: Everything by Everyone" Really, so it doesn't fit into the everything category? Oh well, I probably care too much but some things just annoy me.

Also I googled "kittens" here is the result: Dawwwwww....
